Whole House Water Filters

Whole house filters are a must to every home. Usually the available raw water contains organic or inorganic matter, chemicals etc. Whole House Filters provides clean and safe water for all domestic purposes.

Both gravity based and pressure based systems are available. Single system provides filtered water to all your water outlets, taps, showers, Kitchen etc.



The MGF works on principle of retention and removal of physical impurity in a graded manner through voids of the filtering media. The physical impurities in raw water i.e. suspended solids, dirt, dust & all visible particles up to 50 micron are removed in Multi Grade Filter.

Multi grade filter is a depth filter that makes use of coarse and fine media mixed together in a fixed proportion. This arrangement produces a filter bed with adequate pore dimensions for retaining both large and small suspended particles. This filter performs at a substantially higher specific flow rate than conventional filters.

Multiple layers of filter media consisting of graded sand, white sand, fine sand, activated carbon and pebbles retain the suspended particles. Activated carbon adsorbs free chlorine, organic compounds,colour and odour to its surface. The retained dirt is removed by backwashing (M/A).



We produce wide range of standardized and custom built filtration system to remove suspended solids from water. Pressure or gravity sand filter are used as pre-treatment system in Whole house filtration system, RO plant (ROP), and post treatment system in Waste water treatment plants (STP & ETP).

Raw water is passed through pressure sand filter. The filter media consists of multiple layers of Graded quartz sand, Fine sand, Super fine white sand and pebbles of progressively larger sizes. During the filtration cycle the filter bed retains the dirt and suspended particles, which is then removed by backwashing(M/A). After backwashing the filter is rinsed with raw water and after the required quality of water is achieved the filter is put back into service. Backwashing is either done with raw water or with filtered water.



Activated carbon has been historically used for removal of odour and removal of colour pigments from water. Activated Caron Filters are used as pre treatment system in Whole house filtration system,RO plant (ROP) and post treatment system in Waste water treatment plants (STP & ETP).

Activated Carbon filters offered by us are used for eliminating bad taste, odour as well as chlorine residue in water. This excellent filter media has carbon granules of high iodine value that helps contaminants to get adsorbed to surfaces of carbon particles. The filter media consist of activated granular carbon. The activated carbon bed is also backwashed at fixed intervals to dislodge any accumulated dirt particles.



Iron is an objectionable constituent of potable water.According to International standards, water containing more than 0.3 PPM iron is not potable. Iron removal systems make sure that the water you use confirms to International standards. Iron in the water imparts a bitter characteristic, metallic taste and cause oxidized precipitate.

Problems Caused due to presence of Iron:

The suspended iron water is passed through Iron removal unit. The design of the whole system with single/multiple units and different media types mainly depend upon the Iron content and water usage.

Iron removal media such as Katalox light, Purolite MZ10 Plus, BIRM and Manganese Dioxide that are sourced from international suppliers are used. During the filtration cycle, dirt and suspended iron particles from the water accumulates within the filter bed. This retained iron impurities are removed by backwashing (M/A). After backwashing the filter is rinsed with raw water and the filter is put back into service.

Hard water is frequently unsuitable for many industrial and domestic purposes. When water is referred to as 'Hard' it simply means, that it contains excess of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) Ions than normal water.

Carbonate hardness is known as temporary hardness and non-carbonate hardness is known as permanent hardness. The degree of hardness of the water increases when more calcium and magnesium ions are dissolved. The easiest way to soften the hard water is through Ion exchange process. Softening is done using softener resins, the most common and probably the easiest method of removing hardness from water.
